
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Peckham. A 26-year-old man died at the scene, with two other men in a life-threatening condition.
The Metropolitan Police were called at 03:54hrs on Monday, 6 April, to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people outside a nightclub in Ruby Street.
Upon arrival, officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found a 26-year-old man with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man died at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Two other men in their 20s were also found injured at the scene. They both remain in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Four men, one aged 18 and three aged 24, were arrested later on Monday, 6 April, on suspicion of murder. They all remain in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is leading the Met's investigation, said: "This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time. We have already arrested four men and our investigation continues at pace. We are aware of the concern that this will cause the local community and those in the area will notice an increased police presence throughout the day. This assault occurred outside a busy nightclub, and we’d encourage anyone who has any information, dashcam or mobile phone footage which could support the investigation to contact us."
