
Residents in Bromley's Bickley and Sundridge ward are being urged to remain vigilant following a spate of criminal activity in May 2026, including brazen tool thefts and a targeted watch robbery.
Police have confirmed 11 reported crimes in the ward during May 2026. This figure is consistent with previous years, with 11 incidents also recorded in May 2025. A concerning trend emerged with three instances of theft from motor vehicles (TFMV) and three instances of theft of motor vehicles (TOMV). Tools were stolen from vehicles on Westbury Road, St Georges Road West, Field Close, and Coates Hill Road.
The ward also experienced three incidents of attempted robbery and robbery. One incident on The Glade saw suspects threaten a victim and attempt to steal tools. On Orchard Road, tools were stolen, and the victim was injured by a vehicle. A particularly concerning incident occurred on Bickley Park Road, where a victim was followed from Chislehurst Station before their watch was stolen.
In May 2026, there was also one reported burglary on Blackbrook Lane, where suspects entered a property via the rear door but fled when the alarm sounded, with nothing stolen.
