The Metropolitan Police have released figures for July 2026, showing a total of nine reported crimes. This marks a decrease from 15 incidents in July 2025, 12 in 2024, and 16 in 2021.
Specific incidents included two burglaries, one on Freelands Road where tools were stolen from a shed, and another on Sheridan Place where jewellery was taken. The method of entry at Sheridan Place remains unknown.
A business burglary occurred on Southborough Road, with shutters forced open and cigarettes stolen. An attempted burglary took place on Spinney Oak, where a suspect tried to force a kitchen window.
One robbery was reported on Widmore Road, involving a suspect threatening a victim with a bottle after shoplifting. There was also one incident of theft of a motor vehicle (TOMV) on Ring Close, with a Honda moped stolen.
Three further vehicle thefts (TFMV) were recorded on Blackbrook Lane, Shawfield Park, and Edward Road, involving the theft of money and two sets of registration plates.
The Bickley and Sundridge Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is encouraging residents to engage with them for crime prevention advice. Their next police surgery will be held at the Virgin Active Baths Road cafe area on 13th August between 10-11am.
