Woolwich Arrests: Two Held for Handling Stolen Goods on Bloomfield Road

Two men have been arrested in Woolwich, South East London, on suspicion of handling stolen goods. The arrests followed a stop by Metropolitan Police officers on Bloomfield Road.

The Incident on Bloomfield Road, SE18

PC's 1130SE and 1374SE sighted two males acting suspicious on Bloomfield Road SE18. Following a search of their personal belongings, both males were arrested for handling stolen goods. Both individuals were taken into custody while enquiries continue.

In Greenwich, the borough encompassing Woolwich, there were over 27,000 recorded crimes in the year ending March 2024, according to Metropolitan Police and official recorded crime data. Of these, theft and burglary accounted for more than 8,500 offences. The Metropolitan Police advise residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
